Interactive activity
Breathing Space is a programme that was conceived as a response to Covid 19 (delivered from May to September 2020) and can be seen on our website: https://www.lancasterarts.org/get-involved/projects/breathing-space/. This is a live and online event applying the Lancaster Arts model of Creative Gatherings that brings together the artists involved in Breathing Space, invited academics and members of the public in relevant roles such as voluntary services to explore the following questions: How does artistic activity enable spaces for reflection and connection? What is the distinctive element of this work? How do we incorporate the creative and collective learning and often greater sense of community that has been a part of the pandemic into the university and institutional systems? There will be limited availability. If you would like to join, please email lauren@lancasterarts.org. The Breathing Space Gathering will result in a creative resource that will translate this learning into a practical resource for engagement practices. The Gathering will incorporate online and live participation and be interactive, experiential and discursive. The event will invite imaginative participation and be designed to welcome creativity and inspire fresh thinking. Participants will be contacted prior to the event with information and encouragement to prepare ideas or materials.
