About this event

REACH (Resilience, Ethnicity and AdolesCent Mental Health) is an accelerated cohort study based in south London schools (www.thereachstudy.com). REACH is investigating the determinants of mental health among adolescents from diverse backgrounds. Over 4000 adolescents are taking part. These young people are providing King’s researchers with detailed information, over time, about their mental health and their personal and social circumstances and experiences. Over the past few months, REACH participants (now age 14-18 years) have been providing important information about their experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, to help us understand the impact of the pandemic and prolonged social restrictions and school closures on the mental health of young people from diverse backgrounds. Around 40 REACH participants are also providing in-depth information about their experiences via video diaries.
